Our Mission
Our mission is to unlock a whole new funding market for startups to access finance by creating the framework that will make it easy and appealing for middle class wage earners to invest small amounts of their disposable income into high-growth startups with proven potential to give high return on investment. The solution SliceBiz is offering is to leverage web/mobile (& offline) platforms to create a connection between startups looking for funding and business-savvy young professionals/middle class looking to invest. We are working with the long term vision of seeing a substantial increase in the global pool of investors with a new generation of young startup entrepreneurs around the world connected with business-savvy middle class through innovative new financing models, all in a bid to unlock growth in the global startup ecosystem. In our view, the market we are entering is largely uncontested and offers a real opportunity to grow a niche market with unique service offerings.
The Team
William Edem Senyo
CEO
William is an unconventional, budding young Ghanaian entrepreneur with a very optimistic view of his country’s potential. He has worked with The Hunger Project-Ghana (Ghana office of US NGO) with extensive involvement in the implementation of a Scale-Up program, working mostly on Partnership, Resource Mobilization and Advocacy.
William has had an interesting and colorful work history, having had brief stints with MTN, HFC Bank and Databank. He served in several executive capacities in leadership and business oriented groups at the University of Ghana and ran relatively successful part-time businesses within that period. He also has wide-ranging community action experience, gained from volunteering with several non-profits such as the British Council and Nima: Muhinmanchi Art (NMA).
His unique experiences garnered working in both corporate for-profit organizations and a non-profit development organizations has led to a personal evolution into Social Entrepreneurship, specifically in the areas of Youth Business Development and Private Sector Job Creation. His personal ambition is to be a key player in finding solutions to the current deplorable situation of youth unemployment in Africa. He has learned and observed and believes it's time to partner other like-minded young people in this quest towards a sustainable end to youth unemployment in Ghana and Africa. As CEO of SliceBiz, William is banking on his skills set & impassioned determination to build a truly remarkable social enterprise.
